Quarter 15/20: Normal CA-125 Reading!

Another Quarter Cancer Free!

I cannot be considered cancer-free until I’ve received 5 years, or 20 quarters, of quarterly testing within the ‘normal’ limits of the CA-125 antigen reading.

Thank you for your kind thoughts, prayers, and words of support…

Feeling so grateful to be here and share these moments with my children. Focusing on giving myself, and others…

Grace and Space.

Only 5 quarters to go!!

View from Philosophers Way

Image by Bikurgurl Hallo! We’ve been traveling, and I have so much more to share with you, but wanted to capture this moment of beauty with my sweet boys looking over Heidelberg Castle. While I love using websites and books to guide us on our adventures, it’s really getting on Instagram and other social media sites that allow me to see what is happening right … Continue reading View from Philosophers Way

Typical Procrastinator

Typical procrastinator I’ve been longing for some time just to write. Alone. In the house. By myself. After a thorough cleaning, walking the dogs, cleaning up the house….my desk was ready for me to write at!! Then… I had to straighten the couch, water outdoor plants, and clear off my desk before I could start. I’m so happy we changed the orientation of our office … Continue reading Typical Procrastinator

‘I hear the mountains calling and I must go’

‘…I hear the mountains calling me and I must go.’ – John Muir It was gorgeous this week, but I need a grey day to catch up on chores and reading at home! But it’s true: when the mountain is out in Seattle, you’ve got to go out and enjoy it!! I took this image with my iPhone while on the I-90 Floating Bridge. The … Continue reading ‘I hear the mountains calling and I must go’

Solo: A Star Wars Story

Image by Bikurgurl So this happened this weekend – Solo: A Star Wars Story! We love going to AMC Theatres for premiers! With online reservable seats, even new movies can be planned for and seen at the matinee rate! Although a lot of the movie was dark with bright flashes of light — literally, not figuratively — it was an entertaining story. The thing with … Continue reading Solo: A Star Wars Story

My Ikea Love: Shelves

So this happened yesterday – my husband fulfilled my long dream of shelves above our credenza. If you’ve noticed, we kinda love Ikea. We’d searched high and low for affordable ‘natural yet hefty’ shelves, but ultimately couldn’t choose anything but our lovely Ikea Lack Shelves. At only $29 each, they were the bargain of the year! As I posted on Instagram, I was looking for … Continue reading My Ikea Love: Shelves

Nugget of Knowledge

The long road of homeschooling has many twists and turns, but I’ve been doing this for over a decade. A decade. 10 years. It’s actually been since birth, though only in retrospect can I call it homeschooling. As a life-long learner, I lost the love of learning in high school for a myriad of reasons, not the least of which was burnout. By the time … Continue reading Nugget of Knowledge
