I have been reluctant to talk about it.
In public, in private, on social media. Part of it is shame, part of it is vulnerability, but there’s more . . .
I can no longer remain silent. I love my parents so when they said they were getting ready to vote I had to tell them I hope they will vote for Biden.
How they vote will not change my love, regardless of whom they choose to place their votes, nor how this election pans out. However, I can no longer remain silent on the pain and suffering this polarizing President has had on my family, my country, the environment, and the world.
I hope my parents choose unity. I hope my parents choose Biden.
