Thank you for joining our awesome writing community who challenges themselves weekly as we weave together our 100 words!

[I’m posting an unfiltered image with a link to my travel account in case you’d like the unfiltered image! I took it on my smartphone – thanks for your grace!}
I’ve been traveling and taking a social media break – I’ve missed seeing you on Instagram and here, but look forward to catching up with you this summer! Miss me? Feel free to post stories linked to previous 100 Word Wednesday images — just follow the tab on my homepage, follow a link to another image below, or search my website for fun 100 Word Wednesday images to write about ❤
What 100 words would you give this image?
Interested in joining us? Check out the guidelines below and ping back to be included in the Writing Wind-up!
Let the writing begin!
How to participate? A few guidelines as we begin….
- Simply check my feed, or search the reader, for the 100WW or tag #100WW, post each Wednesday. I’ll also be posting on my Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook Feeds.
- Write your submission on your blog, Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook Feed and ping back to the weekly blog post. Feel free to use the image provided or your own. Please do credit the artist whose image we use — Links provided.
- I have not enabled automatic pingbacks due to a plethora of spam messages attempting to link up. Do feel free to also continue posting your links and I will enable your pingbacks as I check my blog. Thank you for understanding!!
- I’ll provide a Weekly Summary, or Windup, of posts on or by Tuesday; take the opportunity to read and comment on your fellow bloggers posts {keeping in mind to give each other grace and space}. I try to read them all and post your submission in the Weekly Windup.
- Have fun! I enjoy reading your challenge submissions!

The coming of a storm! Excellent ❤ We were out hiking in the urban forest and happened upon the sound, before we saw him, of this saxophonist. I had many of the same feelings your protagonist had in your story: odd that there was someone playing music in the quiet woods but lovely all the same!!
I'm sorry for the overexposure of the image! I used a filter on it {it's just an image I took with my camera}, but it's more over-exposed than I thought it would be now that I'm on my computer! I'm happy to issue you an unfiltered image if you'd like {and I'll post on my blog} ❤
Thank you for always joining us for 100 Word Wednesdays ❤

Love this whimsical tale: Revenge if the Forest!
And No Worries: You aren’t late! You can always post on any prompt going all the way back to the beginning of 100 Word Wednesdays! Since I’ve gotten behind doing the Weekly Wrap Ups, I’ll be going back and posting them all within the next month! I’m working some bugs out of my site to make that bit a little easier 🖤
Thank you for joining our writing community again this week for 100 Word Wednesday 🖤 Kelly

Isn’t it interesting how adults can be so cruel; my bet is many of them don’t realize how speaking ‘their truth’ kills that spark in a child. Thank you for joining us this week 🖤

Your title belies the underbelly of development – destruction of nature for financial gain? Like humans, their roots are intertwined and they survive in community.
Thank you for adding your provocative tale to our prompt this week 🖤
