100 Word Wednesday: Week 70

Has it really been 70 weeks? In fact, it has! Every week I’m thankful to have our writing community to share stories with and seek common creative outlets. I find writing 100 words on many images daunting — too long for more precise words, too short for a descriptive story.

Working within the confines of these challenging parameters makes me a better writer, a better wordsmith, and a better creator.

Welcome.
Thank you for joining our awesome writing community who challenges themselves weekly as we weave together our 100 words!
What 100 words would you give this image?

Let the writing begin!

How to participate? A few guidelines as we begin….

  1. Simply check my feed, or search the reader, for the 100WW or tag #100WW, post each Wednesday. I’ll also be posting on my Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook Feeds.
  2. Write your submission on your blog, Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook Feed and ping back to the weekly blog post. Feel free to use the image provided or your own. Please do credit the artist whose image we use — Links provided.
  3. I have not enabled automatic pingbacks due to a plethora of spam messages attempting to link up. Do feel free to also continue posting your links and I will enable your pingbacks as I check my blog. Thank you for understanding!!
  4. I’ll provide a Weekly Summary, or Windup, of posts on or by Tuesday; take the opportunity to read and comment on your fellow bloggers posts {keeping in mind to give each other grace and space}. I’ll try to read them all, but I can’t post your submission in the Weekly Windup if you haven’t posted before the end of the weekend but I’ll do my best to catch ’em all!
  5. Have fun! I enjoy reading your challenge submissions!

    1. First, thank you kindly!!! I have thousands of my own images to draw from but love to mix in some other perspectives from friends and family as well 😉

Second, I’m Kelly – my tag has been Bikurgurl for decades 😊 Thank you for asking! Many of us use one name for our blog and go by first names, but I’m warming up to the idea of opening up 💖

Thank you for joining us again this week!!

      1. Thanks Kelly images that have depth of interpretation are such fun to play with. It took me some time as a blogger to reveal who I was. We are who we are in the end.

      2. What a nice complement on the image prompts, thank you! I agree on the reveal – I’m also mindful of my electronic footprint involving my husband and children. For me, holding back is automatic – trying to strike the right balance between their anonymity and my creative expression is what I’ve been wrestling with. Thank you for your positive feedback!
