Week 44

Thanks for stopping by for Week 44 of 100 Word Wednesdays!

Holy Cow!

My first month getting back into the swing of 100 Word Wednesdays has been much slower than anticipated! This past week I tried making some adjustments to my blog – looking at different themes offered by WordPress and trying to fix broken links – when I accidentally changed the theme. Altogether.

Oh my…..

To say I had choice words and stayed up for several hours trying to revert the site, then trying to make changes…well, the result is this updated version of the theme I was using. I’m still a novice when it comes to what options all the themes have to offer, and I’m slowly learning that I’ll likely need to do a few crash courses on how to properly maintain my blog.

But until then…

I have cut back several commitments to focus on my writing for NaNoWriMo this month, but I have rapid-fire stories pummeling me and I feel my thoughts have the longeviity of a gnat — as evidenced by my post yesterday.

I appreciate the grace and space you’ve given me over the past few months. I’ve had a lot of transitions in my life, with my health {I’m still doing well, – thanks! – I just got my quarterly blood draw taken today and will know results in within the week}, but I’m growing so much more as a human being. Everything is finally coming together. Not that life is perfect, it’s not – not by a long shot – but being so satisfied with all of life’s imperfections? That’s something that makes me rest easier at night.

As a recovering perfectionist, the more I pursue minimalism in my home and my heart, I find I really do have a greater capacity for everything else. Focusing on my passions, even if they do change day-to-day, allows me the freedom to be creative and full of life.

Iit helps that I’m finally healing, emotionally, from my hysterectomy and cancer surgery. I’ve written loads about it off-line, in my writing notebooks where I can keep it hidden and leave myself less vulnerable. It’s still something I’m comfortable joking about, but I’m not yet comfortable joking about with others. For me, helaing to the point of happiness, laughter, forgiveness…I can move on.

I’m almost there – I can feel it.

Now that I have that off my chest…without further ado…

I am looking forward to catching up on reading all your wonderful stories and hope you are able to read and comment on each others as you have time as well!

Thank you for being here ❤
