I’m an ardent advocate of supporting each other, heartily encouraging women to support women, humans supporting humans.
In this world, how do we go from being victims to being empowered? How do we make the world a better place? We become the change. We take the advice of Gandhi, who led nonviolent civil disobedience, and, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
Many people have a lot of great ideas: suggestions for events, improvements, and innovations. However, most people stop at the suggestion stage – rarely moving further into the vulnerable place of sharing their ideas – let alone putting those ideas into action.
Set a date, be vulnerable, and create an event, art piece, or a blog post. Invite others join you. You are not alone. Be it pleasant persistence, or rising up with your plastic fork, you will find the community you’re looking for.
