Inspired
I see what I’d like to create. In my mind, the idea is conveyed as a strikingly simplistic

version of the more ornate versions I’d seen. Practicing over and again, the finished product was just that: simple. Unremarkable. Uninspired.
As a nod to the uninspired, I began again. However this time, I chose a paper plate for my canvas. The simplicity was not overpowered by the previous canvas I’d prepared. In fact, it opened up a whole new world to me. I noticed the paint spilled on the table, the brush strokes of previous works. This array inspires my work.
