Bullet Journaling, June 2017

I’ve been changing up my weekly Bullet Journal spreads and while I love the grey, ghosting is atrocious and doesn’t offer the crisp authority black lines do. Maybe I’m just partial to black line because black is my favorite color?
While I like the simplicity of the week heading across the top, I also miss the ability to list by day as with traditional Bullet Journals. This is likely the number 1 reason I have multiple calendars — one traditional layout, a Happy Planner, at home and a Bullet Journal in my bag. Add the Travelers Journals for writing and notes? I keep a full bag 😊

What are you planning this week of Summer Solstice?

  1. I have a choral performance tomorrow. Double booked a dinner engagement the same evening, so the choral takes priority. Then there’s a women’s outing to Huntington Beach – walk and talk and eat! I use a calendar from Publisher, a bullet calendar from Excel, and a post-it note pad for To-do list of the day!!

    1. Wowza! You certainly stay busy πŸ™‚ I find that I need physical calendars {much like physically writing!} — tactile, interactive, and doesn’t require a screen! πŸ™‚ Thanks for stopping by and hope your blogging issues are getting resolved!

      1. I use computer to create the calendar, enter all my routine, repetitive events plus known appointments. Same as the bullet calendar, Then I print them out. I don’t go to my computer to check the calendar. Somehow, Google is connected with my phone, so it sends reminders to my gmail and beep for notifications. I do write on my calendar, or check of the dates. I use different ink pens!

      2. A few blogger still have issues and request access to my old site. So I contacted them directly that I can’t “unlock” my old site, because I get followers to a blog entitled “Empty” “Inactive” “Don’t Follow this Blog,” I can’t stop getting followers to the old blog, so I have to lock it up, turned to private. I’m not ready to delete it yet.

  2. I’ll start getting busy in August when my daughter has baby shower. I’ll go to the shower and come home. Then go back one week before her due day and stay for almost 5 weeks to help out. Before all these happen, I need to make my house behave because I’m hosting the Thanksgiving dinner and y daughter, her hubby and the baby are coming. So I hve July to take care of the house!

      1. You will love it! Allowing your children to make all the decisions and taking a step back can be difficult, but it will make all the difference to show deference to the new parents and allow them to set the pace πŸ˜‰ Enjoy this time as your family, and love, continues to grow ❀

      2. At first she only wanted me to stay a few days after the baby is born because they would be figuring out what to do. I thought it would be a good idea. Later on she thought of needing help. I’m good in not interfering. Even when I want to do something, I always check with her first. I told my friends that when she turned 18, I respect her as another adult. When she was in 5th grade, I tried to make suggestions, she said, “Mom, you don’t know anything, I’m a GATE student.” I stepped back ever since, I didn’t react to her saying, “Your mom is a doctor!” I always pointed out the good decision she made.
