Another Happy Repeat: My quarterly Cancer Antigen reading was within normal limits —
**Almost** Halfway!!

I cannot be considered cancer-free until I’ve received 5 years of quarterly testing within the ‘normal’ limits.
With the recent loss of my first best friend, to cancer no less {though not ovarian cancer}, I’ve been reflecting on my purpose.
With so much change in the past year, my prayers have been asking for guidance, to understand my true purpose, and to be the woman God wants me to be.
Thank you for your kind thoughts, prayers, and words of support…
Only 11 quarters to go!!

What great news! Every quarter counts! Waiting for those results to come back is nerve-wracking hell, I know. I think you deserve a special treat today! My go-to treat is ice cream, but feel free to substitute. ❤

Good news for you. It is so important to have these checks. 🙂
Have just made an appointment for a follow up with my consultant surgeon for my breast cancer. I had my op on Oct 31st and finished radiotherapy at the end of January. No problems, but I thought I would have been sent an appointment after 6 months just to check things were OK. My mammogram will be scheduled for September and every year for five years. I’ll be on the menopause in a box medication for at least five years. I’m feeling good, but I want to be sure everything is on its correct and healing course.

Thank you and good wishes on your continued health. Because Breast and Ovarian cancers are so closely linked, and due to family history, I also get many mammograms. I’ve found I have robe the one to stay on top of my appointments and health – doctors and health facilities don’t do that for me😉

I should expect a letter in the post containing a ‘pink card’ and timeframe for my next mammogram. Apparently I just arrive with my card and get fitted in. Mind you, it is at a breast clinic rather than hospital, so I guess that makes all the difference.
