Week 15
Thanks for stopping by for Week 15 of 100 Word Wednesdays!
I pulled this picture from my own archives. Dreaming of the Islands, I chose this image of the Lime Kiln Lighthouse located on the western shore of San Juan Island, Washington. Part of the Lime Kiln Park, this lighthouse is the ‘newest’ lighthouse in Washington State. Erected in 1914, this gem now is part of the Washington State Park system and is a great place to view the Orca whales, whom reside year-round, and grey whales migrating through the Puget Sound.
When I think of this trip, where we unfortunately did not see any whales, I think about how I was so eager to just get there. I totally wasted a beautiful journey in seeking the end. Having a bit of a type A personality, I find wasted opportunities abound in my quest for finishing.
It’s time to enjoy the journey.

I’m so glad you identified where the lighthouse is!! Nice to know a bit of history, and that it’s closer to me than I thought–San Juan Island, not so far from Lynnwood 🙂
