Beneath

Skim the surface to see what lies in wait. So much more than it appears, the buildings, the people, the spirits which roam this picturesque setting.

She kneads her bread, humming a familiar tune, as her young child plays on the floor in front of her. Her anxiety, her worries, her stress melts away as she rhythmically folds the dough, evenly upon itself. Spread a little flour, fold, press, pull, turn, and roll out to begin again.

This gentle, yet deliberate process belies her nature. Her free spirit does not conform to the simple practice she adheres to when baking.
