Week 10

Thanks for stopping by for Week 10 of 100 Word Wednesdays!

This is an image I took of the closing of the run for a community theatre summer show one of my sons was in. It was after I took this image and we celebrated with a trip to the ice cream shop that he decided he wouldn’t be doing the summer show again soon. The long hours, the rehearsals into the night, and his brother not auditioning to be in the show, all added up to his wanting a break. It wasn’t as fun as he’d hoped – it wasn’t as much fun as previous shows he’d been in.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching my children grow and learn on the stage, but the time comes to try new things and so that’s what we do. My own submission is a reflection of that and while my sons’ details aren’t expressed, the sentiment of one door closing another opens — it’s always a story of hope and that life does go on.

Please take a few minutes to read and comment on your fellow writers work 🙂

  1. My apologies on the tardiness of my replies! In my mind, I had replied, tweeted, and expounded on my heartfelt praise and admiration of your divergent, inspired work this week — only to my surprise that I had not! Thank you kindly for your patience 🙂
