The Path – 100 Word Wednesday

100 Word Wednesday: Week 1 Challenge

The Path

Beside the trees lies a path in the snowy field. Air crisp with anticipation, springs breath merely a dream away. Gloaming long past, I seek refuge beyond.

I silently saunter across the frozen ground, emboldened by the image11rising sun. Trees, in their dark surrender, give way to the light of day encroaching on their shadowy slumber.

Evading the coming light, anticipating every wretched step, my body is drawn to the depths before me. Gloomy surroundings, I crave the solitude light cannot provide. Darkness envelopes my being, fills me with gladness.

Evening comes none too soon for my reign.

  2. Write your submission on your blog, Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook Feed and ping back to the weekly blog post. Feel free to use the image provided or your own. Please do credit the artist whose image we use! Links provided 🙂
