Tuesday Photo Challenge: Flow

Welcome to Episode 33 of the Tuesday Photo Challenge with our host, Frank!

Bikurgurl – I’m just a gurl in the world

I wrote a poem about my love of hooping, called appropriately Flowing, for OctoPoMo 2016, which made this Photo Challenge an easy decision!

Rock my hips

Through the hole

Make it rise

Feel my Flow

I took this with my Cannon on a tripod {although I must note: I asked for backups, so it may have been my husband, or my brother, whose image emerged as the one I used…you can never have enough back-ups with live action 😉 }.

Sadly, I’ve not been hooping the last couple of years since my surgery. Giving myself Grace and Space. As healing continues, I find that I’m finally able to tolerate some of the hooping on my torso again, so I’ll be busy getting my flow back 🙂

The Artful Dodger, indeed! Frank says:

‘Wow!  We’re already up to the 33rd edition of the Tuesday Photo Challenge!  Last week’s challenge was all about Fresh!  And your response to this topic was filled with great images and ideas, which made it not only fresh, but also fulfilling!

In thinking about where to take this challenge to next, I looked for something that might actually make a bit of sense to be a follow up to all things fresh…

Then I came up with the idea of going with the flow, which led me to this week’s challenge theme of Flow.  In capturing the concept of flow, there are a number of directions that you can take.  With a short exposure time, you can freeze the flow in mid-motion, or you can take a longer exposure to show flow over time.  Also, keep in mind that flow can be more than liquids…

Indeed 😉

From Frank, our host:

‘For those who’d like to participate in this weekly challenge, the rules are the following:

  • Write a post with an image for this week’s topic
  • Please tag your post with fpj-photo-challenge (if you’re not sure about how tags work, please check out this WordPress article about tagging posts)
  • Create a pingback link to this post, so that I can create a post showing all of the submissions over the week (note: pingbacks may not appear immediately, as my site is set up to require approval for linking to it; helps against previous bad experiences with spamming)
  • Have fun creating something new (or sharing something old)!!

Find your local art and capture it in your way! I’m looking forward to your creations!’
