This challenge is hosted by Sonya @ Only 100 Words –  The idea? 3 lines about the picture, no matter how long or short, but only three lines!

Chipped

She keeps telling me it’s time to go, but all I can see is her nail polish

reflecting the gaudiness of her sequinned sweater, costume jewelry,

and she’s right: there’s somewhere else I need to be

I linked up — why not take a whirl, it could be fun for you too!

From Sonya, Week 30 Three Line Tales, Guidelines:

“Check the TLT page for the full guidelines, but here’s the gist:

  • Write three lines inspired by the photo prompt.
  • Link back to this post.
  • Tag your post with 3LineTales (so we can find you in the Reader).
  • Read and comment on other TLT participants’ lines.
  • If you want your post to be included in the round-up, you have until Sunday evening to publish it.
  • Have fun.

Happy three-lining!”

  1. The nail polish stood out for me too, and not in a good way. Still, there’s something otherworldly about her, the way shes holding the timepiece, tilt of head and that hair. Maybe where she’s from, nailpolish is used to close a circuit and switch on a teleporting device…

  2. It is a bit gaudy, isn’t it? A bit late to the TLT party this week, but liked your tale – a good way to show a relationship and what the lady with the nail polish is like. I’d want to be elsewhere too 🙂 Great story
