I’m going to post several posts today as I’ve started them over the past week, but with construction, lack of organization and planning, coupled with construction, end-of-year-homeschooling, it’s been left undone.
Interestingly, my friends are always asking for advice for how to get so much accomplished – organization and planning advice. I think they are so sweet to say, but I’m not sure I’m the best to give that advice since I’m a week behind on my blog, behind in my garden, behind on my scrapbooking, behind on my housework.
I’m giving myself a little Grace and Space.
I posted about this, and it’s been expanded upon by Melinda on her website. We’ve discussed it in the comments on our posts, as well as Tweeting about it on Twitter, #GraceAndSpace or when I space out, it’s #SpaceAndGrace. Isn’t that the point. Forgiveness to yourself — no one else will give that to you as willingly as you can give it to yourself.
So what I wanted to talk about today is the Uncovering of you Grace and Space. Much like in the image, we can uncover our own permission to be — our own acceptance of ourselves — so we are able to promote grace to others. Melinda has put together many responses she’s received on a series of posts like this one — and I’m looking forward to collaborating with her on more.
The sad, tragic events of the weekend, only magnify the need to love ourselves as we are, imperfections and all, so we can not strike out in anger, but pass on the self-acceptance and self-love we have to others. Much like putting on your own oxygen mask first in the event of an airplane emergency, in life you need to look within before you can more effectively support and make changes outside of yourself.
I am uncovering me and casting off the labels, expectations and other things that people heap on as days pass.

It’s super difficult to do, but so necessary to move beyond what others want or need to focus on yourself! We are all works in progress {which is both a relief and satisfying to me} – Bravo!

π Thank you π it’s not easy throwing off other’s opinions but it’s something we all have to do otherwise we run the risk of letting other people’s expectations run our lives.
